Forma W-7 - Aplicación Para Un ITIN / Contribuyentes Sin Un Numero de Seguro Social (ITIN)

En junio del 2012, el IRS implemento cambios importantes en un esfuerzo para mejorar sus procedimientos para la emisión de Números de Identificación Individual del Contribuyente (ITINs). Qué Hay de Nuevo

El Internal Revenue Service (IRS, por sus siglas en inglés) está tomando las medidas necesarias para reforzar y proteger la integridad del proceso para asignar el número de identificación del contribuyente (ITIN, por sus siglas en inglés). A partir de 2016, el IRS desactivará un ITIN que no haya utilizado en al menos una declaración de impuestos en los últimos cinco años.

La Forma W-7 debe ser sometida al IRS con la documentación original añadida. La documentación original incluye artículos tales como pasaportes, certificados de nacimiento, o copias certificadas de estos documentos de la agencia emisora. Copias notariadas de estos documentos no serán aceptadas.

El IRS asigna ITIN's a nacionales extranjeros u otras personas quienes tienen que reportar impuestos federales o tienen requisitos de sometimiento y no cualifican para obtener un SSN. Un individuo que es un extranjero no residente, que no sea elegible para un SSN al cual se le requiere someter una declaración de impuesto para los EE.UU. solamente para reclamar un reembolso por impuestos bajos las provisiones de un tratado fiscal con los EE.UU., necesita tener un ITIN.

En orden de aplicar para un ITIN, la Forma W-7 debe ser completada y añadida a la declaración de impuestos y enviada por correo al IRS. Our Security Practices and Information Accuracy

TaxSlayer understands the importance of protecting customer information. TaxSlayer adheres to regulatory, security, and privacy standards applicable to the tax preparation industry. TaxSlayer’ web-based and desktop applications have a proven record of securing TaxSlayer information by utilizing a variety of security related technologies including, but not limited to, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, web application firewalls, encryption, access controls, network isolation, auditing systems, data classifications, and data obfuscation. In order to protect the data as our client enters it in the system, TaxSlayer incorporates the use of SSL encryption facilitated by an Extended Validation SSL Certificate issued by a recognized trusted certificate authority. TaxSlayer utilizes security guards, access controls, biometrics, man traps, and other security mechanisms to protect physical access to the datacenter.

TaxSlayer’s information systems maintain PCI compliance which must be renewed annually.
