How to Enable JavaScript

AOL 9.x
  1. From the AOL toolbar, click 'Settings'.
  2. From the 'Settings: Essentials' dialog box, click 'Internet [Web] Options'.
  3. From the 'Internet Options' dialog box, on the 'Security' tab, click 'Custom Level'.
  4. In the 'Security Settings' section, scroll down to the 'Scripting' section, and under 'Active scripting', select 'Enable'.
  5. Click 'OK' to close the 'Security Settings' window.
  6. Click 'OK' to save all changes.
  7. From the 'Settings: Essentials' dialog box, click Close.

AOL 7.x, 8.x
  1. From the menu bar, select 'My AOL' then 'Preferences'.
  2. Click on the 'WWW' icon.
  3. From the 'Security' tab, click 'Internet', and then click 'Custom Level'.
  4. In the 'Security Settings' section, scroll down to the 'Scripting' section, and under 'Active scripting', select 'Enable'.
  5. Click 'OK' to close the 'Security Settings' window.
  6. Click 'OK' to save all changes.
  7. You will need to close and re-open all of your browser windows for the changes to take effect.

Firefox 2.x
  1. On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
  2. Click on the 'Content' icon.
  3. Check the box next to 'Enable JavaScript'.
  4. Click 'OK'.

Firefox 1.x
  1. On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
  2. Click 'Web Features' in the 'Options' list
  3. Under the 'Web Features' section, check the box next to 'Enable JavaScript'.
  4. Click the 'Advanced' button to open the 'Advanced JavaScript Options' box.
  5. Check the boxes under 'Allow scripts to:' section that you want to allow.
  6. Click 'OK'.
  7. Click 'OK'.

Internet Explorer (IE) Version 5.x, 6.x, 7.x
  1. Go to 'Tools' at the top of the browser.
  2. Select 'Internet Options'.
  3. Click on the 'Security' tab at the top of the 'Internet Options' window
  4. From the list of zones at the top of the 'Security' panel, select the 'Internet' icon.
  5. Click the 'Custom Level...' button near the bottom.
  6. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the 'Active Scripting' item.
  7. Select the 'Enable' option.
  8. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the 'Security Settings' window.
  9. Click on the 'OK' button at the bottom of the 'Internet Options' window.

Internet Explorer (IE) Version 4.x
  1. Click 'View' at the top of the browser.
  2. Select 'Internet Options'.
  3. Click the 'Security' tab at the top of the 'Internet Options' window that pops up.
  4. From the list of zones at the top of the 'Security' panel, select the 'Internet' icon.
  5. Select the 'Custom' button near the bottom and click the 'Settings' button.
  6. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the 'Active Scripting' item.
  7. Select the 'Enable' option.
  8. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the 'Internet Options' window.

Mozilla Browsers (all versions)
  1. Click 'Edit' at the top of the browser.
  2. Choose 'Preferences' at the bottom of the list.
  3. Open the 'Scripts & Plugins' menu on left hand side of box.
  4. Check 'Enable JavaScript for Navigator' on right hand side of box.
  5. Click 'OK'.

Netscape Navigator 7.x
  1. Click 'Edit' at the top of the browser.
  2. Choose 'Preferences' at the bottom of list.
  3. Click the arrow next to 'Advanced'.
  4. Click 'Scripts & Pugins' under 'Advanced'.
  5. Check 'Enable JavaScript for Navigator' on the right hand side of box.
  6. Click 'OK'.

Netscape Navigator 6.x
  1. Click 'Edit' at the top of the browser.
  2. Choose 'Preferences' at the bottom of list.
  3. Click 'Advanced' on the left hand side of box.
  4. Check 'Enable JavaScript for Navigator' on the right hand side of box.
  5. Click 'OK'.

Netscape Navigator 4.x
  1. Click 'Edit' at the top of the browser.
  2. Choose 'Preferences' on bottom of list.
  3. Click 'Advanced' on the left hand side of box.
  4. Check 'Enable JavaScript for Navigator' on the right hand side of box.
  5. Click 'OK'.

Opera 6.x
  1. Click 'File' at the top of the browser.
  2. Choose 'Preferences' on bottom of list.
  3. Click 'Plugins' on the left hand side of box.
  4. Check 'Enable JavaScript' on the right hand side of box.
  5. Click 'OK'.

Opera 5.x
  1. Click 'Edit' at the top of the browser.
  2. Choose 'Preferences' on bottom of list.
  3. Click 'Advanced' on the left hand side of box.
  4. Check 'Enable JavaScript for Navigator' on the right hand side of box.
  5. Click 'OK'.
