TaxSlayer Pro’s Program Security feature contains several enhanced security settings concerning password protecting virtually every part of the program. To prevent unauthorized users from accessing the program, a password may be set that must be entered in order to open the program. In addition, you can customize access to the program by setting up unique permissions for each preparer.
How you customize preparer security is completely up to you. From each preparer’s Program Security Edit Menu, you can:
• Assign a unique username and password for the preparer
• Select which parts of the program the preparer has access to
• Set up client retention and appointment book passwords for the preparer
• Restrict access to tax returns that the preparer did not prepare
